"The volume of images taken over a seven year period led to various exhibitions focused on the bicycle community of Los Angeles which eventually came to be called “Los Angeles Bicycle Rebels”.
First shown in Dusseldorf Germany by Stadt Sparkasse during the 2017 Tour De France prompted further interest "
200 photographs were displayed at One Of Us Gallery in Los Angeles. Los Angeles Bike riders were able to see these pictures for the first time in November 2017
Los Angeles Bike Rebels traveled again to Germany in April 2018.
Caltrans Museum hosted Los Angeles Bike Rebels for bike month Los Angeles. The exhibition was on dispaly from May till Sept 2018

Die Fotografischen Arbeiten von Carolin Kewer "Los Angeles Bike Rebels" beschäftigen sich mit der Fahrradkultur Amerikas ins besondere der Stadt Los Angeles . Eine Stadt mit vielen verschiedenen Gesichtern. Das bekannteste wohl ist die Filmwelt mit ihren berühmten Filmstars, dem Glamour und dem immer sonnigen Himmel umrahmt mit den ikonischen Palmen. Dieses idealisierte Bild verblasst jedoch schnell vor der Realität einer wachsenden Bevölkerung, Obdachlosen und einer die Sinne betäubenden Frustration durch Verkehrsstaus biblischen Ausmaßes. Es ist die Stadt die die Autokultur vergöttert und Fahrradfahrer sowie Fußgänger verpönt. "Los Angeles Bicycle Rebels" entstand über eine Zeitspanne von 7 Jahren.
to my fellow cyclists and great people I met along the way during the span of this art project. I took some photographs on every group ride I attended since 2012 in USA and Europe. If you participated in one of these rides the possibility is pretty good that you are in my archive. THE CYCLING ARCHIVE includes now over 300 group rides! Amazing memories which we are all sharing. I am so glad that I was able to experience this with all of you.
I am interviewing and filming cyclist and car drivers for my art film which is about cycling in Los Angeles (Los Angeles Bike Rebels)...The title of the film is not set yet. The film includes footage from my cycling archive of over 300 bike rides.
