The Wild West of Biking — cinematic stories of cycling, from Los Angeles Bicycle Rebels and Bike Faction to The Project Ride and the immersive Art Crash. Curated by Carolin Kewer, this archive captures the spirit of cycling communities and adventures across America, Canada, and Europe. Spanning more than 300 rides and tours, it blends documentary, photography, and avant-garde film into a living portrait of life on two wheels.

Art takes many forms. The asphalt we rode on became our canvas, and every ride added another brush stroke. On these streets, we created a living masterpiece. At the crossroads of contemporary art and the performance art of LA street cycling, “Art Crash” came alive. Los Angeles, 2014–2019. check it out



Los Angeles Bike Rebels Photography

Los Angeles Bike Rebels reflects the hardcore subculture of the people who ride bikes on the streets dominated by car culture in the City of Los Angeles, California, USA. Their vow to disrupt the status quo leads the viewer on a visual tour of Los Angeles and the dichotomy of opposing views on mobility. "Los Angeles Bicycle Rebels" is a collection of photographs taken over a nine year period of time.



Part of this collection was displayed in Germany and America.

Bike Faction Photography series

This photographic series by Carolin Kewer captures 182 group portraits of cycling communities across different times and places. Some gatherings include up to 200 riders, each frame celebrating the energy, camaraderie, and spirit of life on two wheels.
